English guitarist, best known as a member of John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers (1966–69) and The Rolling Stones (1969–74).
==============================
Best known for his stint as the replacement for Brian Jones, Mick Taylor served as a guitarist for The Rolling Stones. He was originally a member of The Gods (with keyboardist Ken Hensley), and John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. After short audition with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in the summer of 1969, he became a member of the Stones until December 1974. Taylor in turn played on a total of five albums for the Stones in the 1970s, including 'Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!', Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street, Goats Head Soup and It's Only Rock 'n Roll.
In 1974 Taylor left the band, and set off on a solo career. His debut self-titled album was released in 1979. Taylor has also contributed to the respective albums of many of his contemporaries; including Bob Dylan (Empire Burlesque, Infidels, and Real Live), Carla Olson, and former bandmates Keith Richards (Talk Is Cheap), and Ron Wood (I've Got My Own Album To Do).
