Творчество Скотта нельзя отнести к одному конкретному жанру и уж точно не к "........Обычная американская эстрада"! Ну если быть точнее: Baroque Pop, Experimental, Art Pop, Singer/Songwriter, Country Pop, Art Rock, Pop, Chanson, Experimental Rock, Modern Classical! Музыкант очень сильно повлиял на David'a Bowie, который продюсировал картину о Scott'e Walker'e - "Scott Walker: 30 Century Man", а так же на Radiohead, Sting, Jarvis Cocker и других многих выдающихся музыкантов!
