The Section была образована вначале 70х студийными музыкантами Asylum Records: Danny Kortchmar, Craig Doerge, Leland Sklar, and Russ Kunkel. Выступали как back-up band с Crosby & Nash, James Taylor, Carole King and Jackson Browne. Группа выпустила всего три замечательных, главным образом, инструментальных альбома. В этом принял участие Guest - Michael Brecker: saxophone, flute.
