Двухдисковый, видимо концептуальный альбом. Очень эмоциональная, качественная работа. Что до меня, то тут небольшой перебор с иностранным не англо-язычным вокалом, остальное на уровне.

REQUIEM

THE WORK:

Requiem is a work for a rock band and choir composed by Jose Carballido; it is about Death and the pain that it leaves behind... It is a show that merges in an awesome way unusual musical elements from different styles , which results in a summary of most of the musical resources from the beggining of the music history to our days. In Requiem there are elements like counterpoint, unusual time signatures , extreme modulations, virtuosism… .


STORY LINE:

The plenty happiness of a couple of lovers is suddenly shattered when one of them tragically dies. Requiem is about the pain and despair that the alive lover lives each day since his beloved woman went away... The first act tells the Death..s victim choice, the lovers last goodbye, the burial... In the second act some time has gone by and we can see the alive lover tormenting himself and questioning his Faith, getting the plot its top in a methaphysical meeting between both lovers. Finally nothing is what it seems...


CHARACTERS:

In Requiem there are several characters played by the soloist singer and the choir. The soloist singer relates the plot and performs the alive lover part, while the choir co-relates the plot and performs God part (spanish text) and Death part (german text).


THE RECORD AND THE MUSICIANS:

The record was made from September (2.008) to March (2.009). Pepe Herrero (Stravaganzza, Mnica Naranjo...), mixed and mastered the work and coproduced it with Jose Carballido.
