"Ensiferum" — финская англоязычная фолк-метал группа из Хельсинки. Группа была основана в 1995 году. Сами участники группы характеризуют свой стиль как «героический фолк-метал». Стиль "Wintersun" является сочетанием мелодичного дэт-метала с элементами фолк-метала. Ближайшими стилистическими аналогами "Wintersun" являются "Norther", "Ensiferum", "Children of Bodom", "Equilibrium". Группа основана в 2004 году вокалистом и гитаристом Яри Мяэнпаа, бывшим участником героик-фолк-метал-группы "Ensiferum", и ударником Каем Хахто.
